Context
On white industrialists you can splash love is the full title of the performance held in Villach (Austria) and of the subsequent exhibition that we set up at the former church of San Francesco in Udine to investigate the complexity and fragility of the figure of the “young entrepreneur” in collaboration with the Youth Group of Confindustria Udine in 2012.
Intervention
The questioning of the person and the entrepreneurial role, the vision of responsibility within the social community and the awareness of being part of a whole, reach the point of total immersion in the space of the canvas, a deep womb that envelops the bodies. The fusion of the human element as a structural part of space, as a fundamental and pulsating organic matter is brought to life by the use of the power of colour.
Sound and words envelop space in a real human canvas. In the performance experience, a group of businessmen and women are led into a meditation retreat to reflect on their path and to immerse themselves in the experience of art and colour, effectively becoming living elements inside a gigantic canvas.
The work is a large installation which includes the large canvas (“mother / forgive” 8×2 m2), the original overalls worn during the first performance (“inside there was a man”), the images of the details of the first installation, some video loops of the work process and multitrack recording of words and environmental sounds.
Side notes
This is the first intervention of the DMAV collective, created in Austria and then brought to Italy.
