Life is…

Context
The Life is… installation was created at the Franco Parenti Theater in Milan, on the occasion of Incontro, the cultural festival that VIDAS (Italian Home Volunteers for Assistance to the Suffering) organized in May 2022 to celebrate its 40 years of activity.

Intervention
Life is… is an installation, created specifically for VIDAS as an artistic experience and as an immersive and emotional total room. The work, available for the entire duration of the Festival, involves participants in an essential and minimalist experience on the idea of ​​life as a stage.

The voices of those who enter the space and feel ready to immerse themselves in this collective flow are collected and put back into circulation through a loop station, always active, which creates an incessant and changing flow of experiences, colours, stories, intertwining them with the pre-recorded voices of those who in everyday life take care of lives that are in the twilight.

Life is… wants to affirm the desire to make a radical question resonate, at the same time in a playful and serious way: what is the meaning of life for you? The answers create an evocative, joyful, unpredictable, theatrical space, which accompanies the visual journey with a kind of whispered collective soundtrack.
